Under the Contact List in a Group, there are several options to view and filter contacts as you communicate and engage with your contact database.
You can search for a contact by the data captured e.g. Name, Number, Location, Label, etc.
To search for a contact in your desired group, do the following;
- From the left-hand menu
- Navigate to Groups and click on the desired group
Under the Contact List, click on the search box
Type your desired search parameters and click on the "Search Icon"
Your search results will be populated in the list. Here you can also estimate a count of the search results
Advanced Search
You can perform an advanced search within a contact group using a combination of multiple custom fields.
For example, you can perform a search with the GENDER custom field as “GIRLS” and the AGE custom field as “18”.
You can combine these search parameters into blocks. You create the main block of search parameters by using the “Add Block” function and create sub-blocks within the main block by using the “Add Nested Block” functions. This would allow you to build your cluster of data on the platform prior to exporting the contacts.
To perform an advanced search, do the following:
- From the left-hand menu
- Navigate to Groups and click on the desired group
- Under the Contact List, click on the advanced search option
- Based on your desired search, you can select the contact field or a label
- Select the desired field, logic operator and enter the desired value.
- Click on “Add Nested Block” to create a sub-block within the search.
- Click on “Add Block” to add in an additional main block
- Click on “Search” after you have selected the desired search parameters.
This feature assigns color keys indicators to contacts in a group so as to provide a status of the contact. The color keys are:
Red (Invited)-This means that a contact has been invited to a survey. Such contact cannot be invited to another survey, up until they complete the one they have been invited to.
Blue (In Progress) -This means that contact is currently responding to survey questions
Green (Available) -This means that contact is available to take part in a survey.
This feature will come in handy when you want to send a survey, quiz or notice to contacts in a group. It will count contacts by whether contact is available for a survey or quiz, or not E.g. "1000 available, 200 unavailable"
To use the Count Availability feature, do the following:
- From the left-hand menu navigate to Groups and click on the desired group
Under the contacts tab, click on “Count Contacts”
This will display different count options which are
Count All Contacts: This option will perform a full count of all contacts in a group
Count Available Contacts: This option will perform a count of who contacts are available to take part in a survey or quiz
Count Unavailable Contacts: This option will perform a count of contacts who are unavailable to take part in a survey or quiz. These are contacts who have been invited to a survey/quiz or currently responding to survey/quiz questions.
