Registration and response setting handle and affect the way self-registrations are handled.
Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings
From the Left hand menu, navigate to Groups
Click on the desired group in the sub menu
Click on the Settings tab
Under Settings, click on Registration & Response.
Self Registration
This feature allows contacts to self-register into a group. To enable or disable Self- registrations, do the following:
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- On Self-registration, you can enable or disable this setting by toggling the slide button.
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings.
You may choose disallow contacts from self-registering out of this group therefore restricting them from registering into another group. To Lock or Un-lock Contacts, do the following:
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- On Lock Contacts, you can enable or disable this setting by toggling the slide button.
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings.
Validation
You may validate a self-registration against a valid list of uploaded serial numbers or IDs. This feature is commonly used for product registration.
To enable or disable validation, do the following:
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- Once "Validate against product serials" is enabled, the "require unique ID/ Serial" will be enabled. You can enable or disable this setting by toggling the slide button
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings
Add Registrations to Group Inbox
New self-registration messages are only stored on the respondent profile since the message only contains a keyword opt in to the service. You may however choose to direct all self-registration messages to the group inbox. This then allows you to apply inbox features such as reply, mark as read or unread, star or archive.
To add Registrations to Group Inbox, do the following:
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- On Add Registrations to Group Inbox, you can enable or disable this setting by toggling the slide button
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings.
You can automatically generate Internal IDS for contacts who register into the selected groups.
To auto-generate IDS, do the following:
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- On Auto generate ID, you can enable or disable this setting by toggling the slide button
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings.
Successful Registration Response settings
A respondent will always get an auto-response upon self-registration into the platform. This could be in form of a single custom message auto-reply or a survey/notice.
Set up a Custom Reply Message
To set up a custom reply message as the response for a successful registration:
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- On Successful Registration Response, on Reply Message, key in the desired message
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings.
Set up a Reply/Registration Survey or Notice:
To set up a survey/ quiz or notice as the response for a successful registration:
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- On Successful Registration Response, on Reply Survey/Notice; select from the drop-down, which survey to send. If you do not wish to send out a Survey/Notice, choose “None” on the drop down menu
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings.
Reply Source
To set up a reply source(Mask/Sender ID or Channel Code) to send out notice or message for a successful registration:
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- On Successful Registration Response, on Reply Source; select from the drop-down, the service(channel code or mask).
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings.
This would work for Organizations that have MASKED SMS as well as SMS short-codes set up on their account.
Don't send Reply/Registration Survey or Notice
This feature when enabled, will restrict contacts in the group having to do the registration survey multiple times if a contact has already been invited or completed the registration survey and they will receive a response message. To enable or disable this feature
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- On Successful Registration Response, on Reply Survey/Notice, there is the "Don't send registration survey to contacts who have already invited/completed it" feature
- To enable or disable this setting by toggling the slide button.
- When enabled, select the option if you want this to apply to a contact has already been invited or completed the registration survey.
- Under the reply message, key in alternative response that you wish to go out to the contacts
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings.
Handling Registration Data
When self-registering, respondents may include additional text after the group keyword.
For example, a contact may send in "DEMO Mark Chris" to register in the DEMO group.
Echo Mobile not only registers them into the Demo group but also allows you to either ignore the extra text or save the text as name, internal ID, location or any other custom field of your choice.
- Go to the Group Registration & Response Settings by following the steps under Accessing Group Registration & Response Settings above
- Under Registration Data, click on "Select Field" to select the field that you wish to store the extra text in.
- Click Save Group settings to update these settings.
