Group Basic Settings

Basic settings allow you to define the keyword for your group and add a description for internal use.
To access basic settings, do the following:
  1. Go to Groups Tabs, click on the desired group in the drop down menu
  2. From the Left hand menu, navigate to Groups
  3. Click on the desired group in the sub menu
  4. Under Settings, click on Basic Settings
  5. Edit the Name/Keyword and Group Description
  6. Click on Save to update the changes to settings.
Group name or keyword is important for self-registration of contacts. Contacts can self-register into the group by sending the group name to your short code.
For example, for a group named DEMO whose Enterprise short code is 20788, can have respondents register themselves by sending in an SMS with the word DEMO to 20788.
