            Sending out Invites to a Survey

            You can use the invite launcher for the desired survey to send the invites to targeted contacts by filtering by a desired group and labels. It allows you to narrow down the selection of contacts you intend to send the survey invite to.

            Accessing the Invite Launcher

            The launcher can also be accessed in three ways

            Option 1

            1. From the Left hand menu, navigate to Projects
            2. Click on “All Projects” in the sub menu
            3. This will open up the Project List
            4. Open the project folder which contains the desired survey.
            5. Hover your mouse pointer over the desired survey, to reveal the hidden icons; one of which is the ‘invite’ icon
            6. Click on to access the launcher.

            Option 2

            1. From the Left hand menu, navigate to Projects
            2. Click on “All Projects” in the sub menu
            3. This will open up the Project List
            4. Open the project folder which contains the desired survey
            5. Click on the invite tab.

            Option 3

            1. Go to your homepage
            2. Using the quick access button, click on “Send”
            3. Click on “Send Now”
            4. Select the desired project folder
            5. Find and select the communication you want to send out
            6. This opens the invite launcher to send invites for a survey

            Sending out Invites to a Survey

            Using the Invite Launcher would also be ideal for sending out a survey, as it performs an invite count before sending out the communication which assists one in estimating the cost of the communication as well as ensuring that the target contacts have been selected based on the count.

            Using the Simple Method

            This is the default method of sending invites. Here you can choose to drill down to send out to specific groups, filter by labels and/ or filter by labels. 
            To generate invites for a survey using the Simple Method, do the following:
            1. From the Left hand menu, navigate to Projects
            2. Click on “All Projects” in the sub menu
            3. This will open up the Project List
            4. Open the project folder which contains the desired survey
            5. Click on the invite tab.
            6. On the invite launcher; under Group, click on the drop-down and select your group of interest.
            7. Under Previous Completes, select the desired option as you can filter contacts depending on previous completes of the survey.
            8. If you would like to be specific in your selection, you can narrow down the group by Labels.
            9. To filter by labels, click on “Add Label” add label icon.png  . If a label you created isn’t visible in the drop down menu while selecting your label scroll down to the bottom of the drop down menu and refresh the list.
            10. You can also filter by fields to specify the contacts you would like to receive an invite. For example, you can select the field ‘Gender’ to send out invites to. You can go further by specifying the contents within the field, e.g, ‘Male’ or ‘Female’, depending on what is contained in the field ‘Gender’.
            11. To filter by fields, click on “Add Field” add fields icon.png , select the desired option and specify the desired value
            12. You can use a combination of both fields and labels or just one of the two. You can also make the use of more than one label/ field by clicking on ‘+Add Field Filter’ or ‘+Add Label Filter’ icons
            13. Afterwards click on ‘Count Recipients’. It will take a few seconds to make a tally of the number of recipients as per your filter.
            14. The tally will appear in green showing the number of contacts found.
            15. Click on ‘Send Invites’ to send your survey.
            16. You can also choose  skip the counting process entirely or cancel the counting process while the counter is working in case you would wish to do so.

              Using the Advanced Method

              This is a high level  filtering method of sending out invites as you can filter or drill-down to a target of contacts you wish to communicate to. Here you can use a combination of AND and OR, EQUALS and NOT EQUALS, INCLUDE or EXCLUDE. You can use these logical operators to apply all filters as well as conditional filtering. 

              To generate invites for a survey using the Advanced Method, do the following:
              1. From the Left hand menu, navigate to Projects
              2. Click on “All Projects” in the sub menu
              3. This will open up the Project List
              4. Open the project folder which contains the desired survey
              5. Click on the invite tab.
              6. On the invite launcher, once you have used the Simple Method, you can click on "Show Advanced" .
              7. Under the Advanced Method, click on the drop down and select the desired option either Targeting, Group, Contact Field.
              8. Select the desired logical operators or select the desired conditional operators.

              Randomize Invites to a Survey

              Randomize Invites feature will pick contacts randomly after the survey invites have been counted. This can work well if you are running a promotion or a draw and you would like a survey to go out to a random set of contacts out of the entire set.
              To randomize invites, do the following:
              1. Under Group, click on the drop-down and select your group of interest.
              2. Under Previous Completes, select the desired option as you can filter contacts depending on previous completes of the survey.
              3. If you would like to be specific in your selection, you can narrow down the group by Labels.
              4. To filter by labels, click on “Add Label” add label icon.png  . If a label you created isn’t visible in the drop down menu while selecting your label scroll down to the bottom of the drop down menu and refresh the list.
              5. You can also filter by fields to specify the contacts you would like to receive an invite. For example, you can select the field ‘Gender’ to send out invites to. You can go further by specifying the contents within the field, e.g, ‘Male’ or ‘Female’, depending on what is contained in the field ‘Gender’.

              9. The tally will appear in green showing the number of contacts found.
              10. Under Limit and Randomize, type in the number of recipients you would like randomized. Once you have chosen to limit recipients. Recipients will be randomly selected from the eligible pool.
              11. You can then choose to send out the invites or select & show the selected contacts before sending the survey invites

              Survey Cost Estimator

              This feature will calculate the estimated cost of the survey that  you have designed and wish to send out to your targeted contacts. In the case of a survey picks up on the number of questions, whether there is an Invite message or Thank you message, Airtime Incentive and Payment tied to the survey. With this it picks up the cost per SMS and it picks the estimated cost of the completed survey and you can also toggle between the estimated response rate.

              Note: This is just an estimate, actual costs will depend on the length of the texts, number of resends, e.t.c.

              To use the Survey Cost Estimator, do the following:
              1. Under Group, click on the drop-down and select your group of interest.

              10. Click on "Survey Cost Estimator".
              11. Here you can be able to see the estimated cost of the survey and you can enter the estimated response rate and see how this impacts the costs.
